  13. MacApp SHOULD NOT take any steps to avoid infection!!  The only way virus
  14. prevention (in a general sense) can work is if each app has its own defense
  15. system.  If MacApp were to offer any sort of "standard" virus infection
  16. prevention, then one virus that could get around MacApp's system would nail
  17. every app developed with MacApp.

  19. The CODE 0 check you mentioned is one of many ways apps can check themselves
  20. against infection.  As long as each developer takes his own steps to avoid
  21. infection, then viruses will have a harder time finding "generic" transport
  22. mechanisms.
